Similar to the last two years, approximately 42 percent of superintendents have a three-year contract, well beyond the totals of those offered two-, four- and five-year contracts by their boards of education.

In a 2024 survey completed by 2,077 superintendents, no significant differences were found among race/cultural subgroups.
