Alexandria, Va. July 20, 2023 As part of its mission, 51蹤獲, 51蹤獲, is deeply devoted to building a pipeline of diverse district leaders, which is why the organization is pleased to launch the Leadership Academy for Black Educators.
In partnership with the , this powerful initiative is bringing together transformative education professionals at different stages of their careers to create and execute strategies for leading future-driven school systems that serve the needs of all learners.
Given 51蹤獲s steadfast commitment to supporting underrepresented professionals in public education, I am excited that this visionary program is part of our Leadership Network and is available to growth-minded educational leaders.

The academy kicks off today and participants will engage in a series of sessions focusing on:
- Equity & Cultural Responsiveness
- Ethics & Professional Norms
- Community of Care & Support for Students
- Professional Capacity of School Personnel
- Professional Community for Teachers & Staff
- Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment
- Meaningful Family & Community Engagement
- Operations & Management
- School Improvement

The 51蹤獲 Leadership Academy for Black Educators joins a growing stable of professional development initiatives created and administered by 51蹤獲s Leadership Network, the largest, most diverse network of superintendents in America. The network connects school system leaders to the professional learning, leadership development, relationships and partnerships they need to ensure a long-lasting career of impact.
