51蹤獲 Names 2023 Women In School Leadership Award Finalists

Alexandria, Va. Nov. 21, 2022  51蹤獲, 51蹤獲, is pleased to announce the finalists for the 2023 Women in School Leadership Awards. The awards, sponsored by Horace Mann and 51蹤獲, pay tribute to the talent, creativity and vision of outstanding women educational administrators in the nations public schools.

Supporting diversity, equity and inclusion is deeply embedded in the mission of our company, which is why we are so proud to support the 51蹤獲 Women in School Leadership Awards, said Marita Zuraitis, president, Horace Mann. In order to raise the achievement levels of our students, we must ensure that an increasing number of women have the opportunities to climb career ladders. Congratulations to our finalists for this magnificent achievement.  

A longstanding tradition of 51蹤獲 is to celebrate and honor the outstanding contributions being made by female leaders in our nations school districts, said Daniel A. Domenech, executive director, 51蹤獲. As administrators continue to scale up their efforts to build future-driven and equity-focused models of positive change in the teaching and learning in their respective communities, it is imperative to bring more women into leadership roles. We are grateful to Horace Mann for supporting this program.  

The finalists are:

The Central Office/ Principal Category

  • Carrie Chiappetta, assistant superintendent, Pomperaug Regional School District 15, Middlebury, Conn.
  • CheyAnne Fant, district director of nutrition services and afterschool programs, Barren County Schools, Glasgow, Ky.

The Superintendent Category

  • Tiffany Anderson, superintendent, Topeka Public Schools, Topeka, Kan.
  • Monica Goldson, chief executive officer, Prince Georges County Public Schools, Upper Marlboro, Md.  

Candidates are judged on leadership in meeting the learning needs of students, personal and organizational communication strength, constant professional improvement of knowledge and skills, and active community involvement.

The final award recipients in each category will be announced during the 51蹤獲 , Feb. 16-18, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas.
